"You've been a good boy. Now you're a good young man." Kind words from our resident manager who I've known since I was a little kid. I still remember it was like yesterday where she yelled at me for washing our Caravan in our stall because the paint chips from the hood would be all over the gravel near our stall. So when she approached me as I was washing Mr. Integra in my stall this morning, I got a bit scared that she'd do the same. Instead, she started a little conversation with me about school, work, and life. It was a bit awkard (and surprising), but I was touched by her comments. :)

So yeah, I did wash the car today... This makes it the second time since that I've done so since I got Mr. Integra. (I got it 7 months ago :P) So while I was wiping down, I took time to read the theft-deterent sticker on the windshield. It was on there when I bought the car and I had left it on thinking the stop-sign shaped decal would help scare away unitelligent burglars. But when I read "An alarm has been activated for the dealership's protection.. This alarm will be deactivated upon sale of this automobile." Feeling stupid, I took off the decal. On the plus side, I don't have a big ugly stop-sign on my windshield.

So I ended up going to Mario-Susan's high school graduation at the Blaisdell yesterday. As usual with our family, we arrived late. We had tickets to sit in the auditorium, but couldn't get inside because it was already filled to capacity. O_o It was funny: some Filipino guy was arguing with this big Hawaiian worker at the door. You could tell that the Hawaiian wanted to crack him but kept it cool. So we waited outside until the grads came out, when it started to rain all of a sudden. Everyone hurded under the shade right as soon as the grads stepped out. It was chaos. I spotted my uncle in the rain and found Mario-Susan nearby.

It's been awhile since I've seen these family friends. Being that I've always been busy with work and school, I missed out on a lot of their functions. Lots of "How's school?" and "Where's your girlfriend?" conversations with the uncles and unties. I saw Nars there with her non-digital camera (haha) and we chatted up a bit on how old we were getting. Nars is almost 30! hehe. I still could remember when Mario-Susan was just a little girl that would follow me around everywhere. It's funny that she's older now and yet, she hasn't grown an inch!

After the ceremony, everyone (minus Mario-Susan) had dinner at Buffet 2000 (according to unty). Head met us there and we chit-chatted over some bland Chinese food. Looks like Nars and I are gonna make plans of taking out "the kids" to them 18-and-over places. Did someone say Volcanoes? bleh.

Hmm... lately, I haven't been in the mood to be among big crowds. Take Friday and Saturday nights, for example. On Friday, I decided to skip Bedroqs/De Ja Vu with Monkey and friends and stayed home to watched the Head of State DVD instead. (Turns out I already watched that movie >_<) Last night's grad thing ended early and so I could have gone out but ended up falling asleep being that I was so burned out from that day. Am I just too anti-social? Is the night scene not for me anymore? Is going out past 10pm a little too much for me? I must be getting old. :(

Oh, funny thing at Gap today, this lady told me I look like Matthew McConaughey. O_o I guess it's a complement, although I've never been told that before. Awhile back, Fat Laugher told me I look like Ben Bratt, which I don't think either, but that's another story...

Monkey is one with the birds. Pooper rules!

My oh my, the sky was just so beautiful today... I've realized that the colors of everything around 5 o'clock in the afternoon are just so vibrant. The sky just seems so bluer and the grass seems more greener. Kinda makes me appreciate the beauty of the islands more since the weather here, though weird at times, can be very beautiful.

So Monkey and I finally got to see Troy on Wednesday. As I feared, it wasn't up to the hype. The movie was good, but not great. I figured that it could have been better if the movie focused more on the Spartan/Trojan conflict rather than trying to glorify Achilles. The Iliad did not glorify individuals, rather it spoke of the legendary battle for power between the two great kingdoms. Monkey seemed to enjoy it (probably because Brad Pitt was naked throughout the entire three-hour film) and the movie did have an admirable character in Hector so it was good for me.

Earlier in the evening, we ate at Zippy's and caught the end of the Idol finale. I personally didn't care about who won (or for all the contestants this season, in fact). Both finalists have high, screechy voices that I don't really care for. Thank heavens the season is over.. let's put this Idol craze to rest.

Today Yesterday, I had lunch with B-Cup at Bob's Big Boy and dessert at Ice Garden. I haven't eaten at those spots in a long time, and I haven't hung out with B-Cup in a long time so today was a treat. We put our differences beside us and caught up on old times. B-Cup told me that her mom won the grand prize at the Filipino fiesta at Kapiolani Park this weekend. Her prize: one first-class, round-trip ticket to the PI. Hmm... I wonder if the Filipinos at the festival were mad that a Samoan lady won the grand prize haha.

Before work, I caught a movie with Mole. We watched Stateside, a film about a Marine who falls in love with a Schizo. Again, it was good, but not great. It had the grounds for a wonderful film, but was too short to develop any chemistry between the main characters. They should have changed the lead actor. Mole showed me pics of the duck farm she went to today with her friend. Some of the ducks looked big.. they were as plump as Mole's face on her military ID. O_o

I am Mole. This is my foto.

So I guess summer has officially started (well for me at least) because summer session kicked off on Monday. I wasn't able to get in the section that I wanted but my schedule worked out okay. I have Will Ferrel as my prof for 391 and so session 1 should be a dandy. It'll give me time to go do other things like find an internship and start my job search.

I picked up with Mole Asses after my class today and we ate lunch at Sekiyas. We were serviced today by a Korean soap opera star... okay not really but the waiter kinda looked like one of those actors. Food was okay (I still haven't found anything I really liked there) but it seems Mole had more fun making faces with her "Tokyo style" udon and her two bowls.

It was nice to finally hang with Mole again. I haven't seen her since early December. She gave me my christmas gift that had been sitting in the back of her car all this time. Thanks Mole! Unfortunately, I seem to have misplaced her gift. @_@

After lunch, we headed off to Waiks to kill time before Mole started work and to take plenty, plenty of pictures. And since Mole is the queen of panoramic shots, I just had to do one for myself. :P

Later in the day, I met up with Fayrie to go shopping for her layering tanks and a business jacket. I was about an hour and a half late because I fell asleep on the couch @_@ Luckily, she was still there when I awoke so I joined her at Alas. We met up with her bf Digital, Sewell Seashore, and their friend at Mai Tais for a quick conversation before we all headed home.

All in all, a very busy day... I need more days like these where I'm constantly doing something while being able to take plenty of pictures and to throw in a nice long nap. :)

Sorry, no new pics this post :( Just haven't really had any thing on camera these past few days. The photos were just a bit too out of focus, too dark, or too something else..

I had a pretty mellow weekend where I was able to catch a couple of flicks on DVD and in the theatre. On Saturday to save me from boredom, I rented Stuck on You and Paycheck. Both were entertaining films, but I really liked Stuck on You. It's one of the better Farrelly brother movies. Very heart-warming and funny comedy..

Speaking of movies, I caught Mean Girls at Ward with So Fetch (aka GapSkank) on Sunday. I ended up not going to the CB dinner and Oceans for the fundraiser because I Suck Good flaked out once again.. that's okay though, since I was a bit tired from working all day. So Fetch made me a goody bag to make up for watching Van Helsing without me. It's funny, with So Fetch, she can appear like a bitch if you dont know her, but she is the most thoughtful person if you're her friend. Haha, I gave her static all night about Van Helsing so she promised me a dinner.. yay for free meals!

As for Mean Girls, its a fun and witty film. Not your typical high school comedy. Tina Fey does clever writing making the movie very entertaining. And So Fetch was right: Lidnsey Lohan has big mangos. O_O

Movies, movies, oh how I love movies... Whats next? Troy with Monkey... can't wait!

I took some random pictures taken from my building complex yesterday. Why? Because I was bored. Magikfoto keeps me occupied. :)

Picked up T-Dawg last night (left on the second light, not the third!) and watched Shrek 2. The film was a dandy :) Best part of the movie was KNIGHTS, the medieval version of COPS.. "Catnip? That's not mine." F'in hillarious!

Speaking of cops, I saw quite a bit of them last night on the roads. Guess they're trying to make their ticket quota. Watch your speed folks, cause what you're gonna do when they come for you. bad boys bad boys...

Andrew and Matt. Nephews I didn't know I had. O_o

TO THE WINDOWS TO THE WALLS!!! Yes siree, last night was windows night and boy was it long. Delirious, Lion Mane, and I started at 9 and were scheduled to finish at 3. But we ended up finishing at 6 in the morning! As Lion Mane said "I didn't think the windows would be this hard." The sun was out when we stepped outside!

Man it was a long night.. my body is tired. But funny thing though, I didn't feel tired at work and I actually got better as the night/morning progressed. So I guess it's good... Get paid, get better, and take pictures!

mole: how do you stop a rhino from charging
ant: take away his credit card
