My name is Magik Stick and I am an ISketch-aholic.

What is ISketch? To sum it up best, its an online addiction worse than MySpace :P Basically an online draw-and-guess Flash game with a built-in chat system. It's sad to admit, but I've been spending too much time on it to a point where I'm going to bed almost 4 in the morning. O_o

It's cool to say though that I've seen some interesting drawings and met some interesting people with the same addiction, er, passion for ISketch as I do. I seriously have to stop though and get out of the house. :P Wanna try it for yourself? Go to www.isketch.net.

Nothing exciting of late as I've only been working at both the Gap and CB. B-Boy Playa's wife gave birth last week (Congrats to the family and new baby girl Jacie!) and all is well at Kahala. U-Turn accompanied me to Ojiisan to visit Ghetto Gurl at her mom's restaurant.. I tried Ichiko for the first time and boy did it suck. Nice looking bottle. U-Turn and I had some delicious pupus while Ghetto Gurl took care of us (and our bill) while carrying with her a glass of white wine. That's something new..

Earlier in the day I caught Maria Full of Grace at Dole with the Mole (rhymes, haha). The story of this determined young woman Maria in an unfavorable environment is just so motivating. Man, if Maria can do the things she did, then hell, I can finish up my damn resume.. soon, I hope.

Okay, I'm done blogging for tonight. Mr. Stick is off to bed.. but not before another round of ISketch. Noooo! Must. resist. ><

I've been suffering from a bad case of laziness lately, and it's hurting my, um, productivity. (Boy I'm sounding like a real business person.)

I've started to prepare my resume so that I can apply for some job opportuties, but somehow, I'm just finding myself unmotivated to finish it. Is it laziness? Probably not. It could just be that I'm always thinking of what to put in my resume, instead of just typing it. Or maybe it's just MySpace. >< I got to listen to Monkey's advice: "It's not a resume paegent." :P

I could say it's been the same ol' same ol' with me the past month or so, but when I think of it, a lot of things have (quietly) happened. So the other week, CB had an outing at All Star in an effort to boost employee morale as the CB/CPB merger goes through. The shareholders officially approved the merger last week, and with that, the bank has started to reassign workers. It's sad: employees are being transfered or worse, being demoted. At my branch, Aunty Norm is being sent to another branch and Ma-bell is being demoted. :(

But at least, they'll still have a job unlike my other coworker. Sole was let go yesterday for not performing well. The last straw was last Friday when she showed up three hours late without calling. Poor thing for Sole, she told me that she really needed the job. I felt that the managers could have given her another chance, maybe just a suspension. But I guess with the situation at the bank right now, giving chances are not a priority.

On a more happier note, B-Boy Playa's wife is having a baby girl. The Gap crew had a little dinner/baby shower at Kit N' Kitchen (out of all places) where, for the first time, I had food that actually tasted pretty good. I bought a last minute present, as usual: a very soft pink blanket and a hair bow. The most creative gift though was from CakeMaker who made an, um, four-layer diaper cake. The "cake" was made of diapers and other baby stuff like pacifiers and bottles. Pretty neat stuff.

I totally forgot to vote on election day the other day even though I planned to earlier that day. >< Instead I caught Mr. 3000 in theaters with Mole. Luckily I have another chance at the general election. Duke better win. Speaking of movies, Sky Captain and The World of Tomorrow is an awesome film. The cinematic construction of the film is beautiful. I'm a sucker for cinematography and quirky sci-fi films. :P

Agenda for today: wash clothes, get a haircut, and (maybe) finish up my resume. Hopefully. O_o

This blog entry comes directly from my brand-spankin' new Dell Laptop.

I was so excited to find out my PC was coming today. FedEx dropped it off while I was at work, and I've been messing around with it ever since I got home. This laptop rocks way more than the old H-Piece of poo. This thing runs much cooler, is way more lighter, quieter, and has a battery life that lasts three times as long. And, hopefully, it'll last longer than my old laptop did.

I'll update later what's happening in the world of Mr. Magikstick in the past week. But for now, I think I better put my computer to rest since the bad boy has been working hard for the past eight hours. I found out only now that B-Cup was annoyed with me when I first got my HP. I guess I only paid attention to my computer instead of her. O_o Haha, oh well.

Finally, I can be productive--go job-hunting, learn Flash, redesign this blog, and MySpace, MySpace, MySpace. I LOVE my Dell. :)

Okay, so another week has passed, and so far nothing new with the job situation. Well, maybe it doesn't help that I haven't even started looking for one yet. @_@ The truth is that I'm still putting in 40-hour-work weeks (combined) and I've spent my free time sleeping or just lying around watching TV. Like I've told everyone, I haven't watched so much Olympic coverage in my life. But now that the Games are over, I guess I should get started with my, um, career. O_o

I'm still without a working computer in the house, as my laptop is still defunk and my desktop doesn't boot up. So I've still been looking around for a laptop. I've seen a few nice ones from Toshiba and Sony, but I'm still debating on how much I'm willing to spend. The Vaio is sleek and compact but is a little over $2,000. @_@ Anyone have spare change to donate? Har har. I thought about getting an Apple Powerbook, but after using So Fetch's Mac the other day, I scratched that idea.

Well, enough of the blabber, on with the parade of pictures.
