"I'll Friendster you!"
- Inpound Office Clerk, Taxi

It must have been an inside joke to a few of us in the theater, but the web-community's reference in the movie was fookin' hillarious. The movie was pretty funny itself. Basically everything a guy can ask from in a PG-13 movie: comedy, fast cars, bank robberies, chase scenes, sexy villains, and the hottest most interesting body search for a weapon that I've seen. O_O

Saturday was "Family Fun Night" (or something like that) for CPB/CB employees at the UH-Nevada game at good ol' Aloha Stadium. Man, every time I see that field, I'm always in awe. I remember a few years ago when that astroturf was such an embarrasment to our state. But thanks to the NFL and their demands, we've got a nice looking field for our players to play on, so that if we do lose, we'd do it in style!

(Good Ol' Aloha Stadium)

But alas, we had a victory this past week. Yeah, it was against a mediocre team, but hey, a win still counts! Aunty Norms her daughter and I parked at FCU Dancer's house at Viewpoint to avoid the hassle of the stadium lot and headed to the CPB "tailgate" held at the lower floor of the stadium. It was more or less for the kids with goodie bags, body painting and tatooing, and picture taking with the dog-and-bench duo or the UH dancers (they somehow didn't look as good as I remembered). I skipped on the festivities and ate my meal as I looked forward to the reason why I went in the first place: the game itself.

I remember the UH lineman recovering a fumble in the endzone for his (I'm pretty sure) first ever touchdown. Oh the irony of it being an important moment for the player, and an amusing one for me. O_o So yeah, UH pretty much killed Nevada. I don't know by how much but it was to the point where I started cheering for the other team at the end of the game to make a miracle comeback just so we could get our money's worth. O_o

Sunday was Spoiled's 11th 18th birthday. Man, everyone's getting older, but funny, Spoiled is certainly not any taller. :P I expected the party to be a lot more "bangin'" (it is her, after all) but I was surprised to see no DJs, no delinquents smoking/making out on the street, and only alcohol for the adults! I chit-chatted with Nars at the party to find out that she takes home a pretty nify paycheck. I need one of those; actually, I need another job. Period.

Kinda funny to overhear Spoiled talking to her friends about going clubbin'. Gee, I am getting old. :(

Snow Patrol
"Run"

I'll sing it one last time for you
Then we really have to go
You've been the only thing that's right
In all i've done.

And I can barely look at you
But every single time I do
I know we'll make it anywhere
Anywhere from here

Light up, Light up
As if you have a choice
Even if you cannot hear my voice
I'll be right beside you dear

Louder, louder
And we'll run for our lives
I can hardly speak I understand
Why you can't raise your voice to say

To think I might not see those eyes
It makes it so hard not to cry
And as we say our long goodbyes
I nearly do.

Light up, light up
As if you have a choice
Even if you cannot hear my voice
I'll be right beside you dear

Louder, louder
And we'll run for our lives
I can hardly speak I understand
Why you can't raise your voice to say

Slower, slower
We don't have time for that
All I want is to find an easier way
To get out of our little heads

Have heart my dear
We're bound to be afraid
Even if it's just for a few days
Making up for all this mess.

Light up, light up
As if you have a choice
Even if you cannot hear my voice
I'll be right beside you dear.

I haven't updated the blog in a bit. Not that I didn't want to, but there has nothing been exciting lately to talk about. Right now, life is pretty bland and it's hard to find a spark to be interested in doing anything right now. Aside from a few people, I've pretty much isolated myself and by doing so, I've been neglecting a few important people. I deeply regret what I've done, but I think it's just a phase that I'm going through right now.

I hung out a bit with B-Cup while she killed some time before work the other afternoon. I haven't had the Arby's 5 burgers for $6 special in a long time. Good times. Silly B-Cup, she fiddled around with her and accidently cut off too much of her bangs. (Shhh! Keep it a secret!) Hehe, she's still the same ol' B-Cup.

Mole has kept my week interesting with our outings to a few movies and (due to our indecisiveness and pickiness) our trips to Ala's to pick out watches.

I've been in the mood for getting myself a new watch for awhile now and so I'd been eyeing this Diesel watch for quite some time but never got around to buying it cause it was only available online. But this week, while helping out Mole find a watch for herself, there it was at the Diesel store! But turns out, there was this other watch that was equally as impressive and less "flashy". So after succumbing to the suggestions of basically everyone that I talked to, I coughed up $100 plus big ones for the more casual leather band. I'm happy with the buy; I got myself a neat little "mouse-cage" case for it. And yeah, Mole got her lame watch, too.

So yeah, we caught Shark Tale and Ladder 49 over the weekend. Shark Tale had its moments but was nowhere near the filmmaker's big hits in the Shrek films. Damn, even as an animated fish, Angelina Jolie is pretty hot. Ladder was very, very sad. That movie surprised me; I didn't expect it to be that good. But yeah, Joauin Phoenix, even though very likeable, will always be the "bad guy" to me. (See Gladiator as evidence.) We also saw The Cookout for a buck, but that movie is so bad that it's not worth talking about. I should have used that dollar to tip the girl at the Diesel store that helped me out. :P

Man, I've been spending too much time with Mole this week. I'm having sweaty backs just like her. O_o We even came up with a lame handshake. And yes, it was she who made it up... including those funny noises.
