ANT DAY!!!!!

My favorite holiday next to Christmas, definetly has to be Ant Day. Okay, it's not a holiday, but it should be made into one. Fun loving people are born on January 23, and we all should celebrate and do the ant!

Ant Day started with a bang with little clubbing the night before. Sorry to those who I told that I was going to the OC, but plans were changed last minute and we found ourselves at the W. Thanks U-Turn, Flip-o, Cass, for taking me out; it was fun. I should have reconsidered the shots I took that night, but other than that, the night was great.

After meeting up with friends all over, the gang took me out to dinner at Momomo, an awesome Japanese restaurant. Portions were a bit small, but the ambience was great, and celebrating with friends made it even better. Thank you Monkey, Sucka, Jie-Z, Indie, Mole, B-Tree, Vinawina, Banana, T-Man, and HorseLover for the gifts, the food, and the fun. I had a blast! Definetly a memorable night for me.

I have great friends. They're always there when you need them. And they're always there to make your birthday very special.

Thank you. :)

6 Days!! And Counting...

The family is finally back home (my mom arrives today) and so it's not quite as lonely in the house anymore. Yup, everything is back to normal: waking up to the my brother blasting the stereo early in the morning, my dad's constant nagging about my socks laying around the house, and clutter everywhere. Well, so much for the cleaning the other week. :P

Nothing too eventful happened this week. It's not that I didn't do anything this week. It's just I'd rather choose not to talk about it. Oh yeah, Lanikai is still a beautiful place.

I caught a few movies this week: Meet the Fockers and National Treasure both of which I found better than I expected. The Fockers had its moments but its comedy just seemed like it was forced, unlike its predecessor where the laughs were intertwined with the plot (I hope that makes sense). The scenes with the baby were hillarious though. "Ass hoooooole." @_@ National Treasure was a better movie. It wasn't "super great" as Mexican Lover said it was, but it does keep you interested. Plus, the supporting actress in the movie is kinda cute. >_<

Last night, I took Mole to the Cheesecake Factory for her "birthday". No it wasn't really her birthday, but I just told the waiter that it was. Oh boy, the look on her face was classic! That fooker was so confused. @_@ The meal was okay, although I still think that the restaurant is overrated. The cheesecake is good, but I prefer the ones that are clumpier. Also, the hour-long wait is not that great either. I actually ate a Sbarro's pizza while we were waiting for our seats. :P

Ooh, and speaking of birthdays...

Looks like Ant Day might be a two day thing: partying on Saturday, karaoke on Sunday. If you're interested, let me know?

Note to Slurpee: Thanks for the mp3s! I'm falling in love with this Hem song. :)

The Butterfly? Uh-uh, That's Old...

Looks like there's new dance move that's sweeping the Honolulu night scene. Move over lean back and 1,2 step.. here comes "The Ant!" And to accomodate lazy folks like me, it's a pretty simple thing!

I've done a lot of clubbing during this holiday season and I think the nursing fundraiser made it the fifth trip to oceans in four weeks. (I have to stay away from that place) Aside from spending a little more on alcohol then I had planned to, it was fun... it was the last hoorah with Regifter before she flew back to Washington and I met her "cousin" Social Dancer who invented a new dance move, too--the elbow freak!

Came to find out that Social Dancer works with an old customer I used to know when I worked at Kapiolani. Brings back memories of crab cakes. Ahh...

By the time Saturday night rolled around, after the peak of my clubbing bug had passed, here comes a night with U-Turn and friends at the W. After NYE 04, any sight of a line scares me and so I was looking at another long night after seeing the line at the W when we arrived there. But U-Turn knows people who knows people; and better, she knows people who love to pay for your drinks. I am much obliged to Flip-o for allowing me to spend the least I have ever at a club.. and at the W, too! Steph2, Jerms and friends were there as well as Gummy Bear and her crew. Drinks seemed pricy and potent, but the place was nice. The hip-hop room was awesome.

Prior to the W, Sucka picked me up to go to B-Tree's grad dinner at Yen King. While B-Tree spoke about his new job, I began thinking to myself that I'm really lagging behind on my schedule with this whole finding a job thing. I know I always talk about it in the blog but do nothing about it. I really got to break my laziness and just go for it.

I just found out Sucka bought her ticket to Cali today. :'( Yes, it is very sad.. Sucka has been a great friend in the short time I have known her and I know it'll really hit home when February 10 comes around....

HAPPY 2003!!!!!!!

WOOHOO! A new year has begun and already, my house is a mess. @_@ Hope it's not a sign of things to come..

Here's a brief recap of the NYE 2005 festivities this year: I found myself back at Ocean's on another eve of the new year and for the second straight year, we stood in line for more than three hours. It wasn't as bad this year though; we actually got in BEFORE midnight. Chee! So I got tipsy just in time the fireworks outside welcomed in the new year. The night was a lot of fun spending it with good ol' friends... even made new ones in the process, such as Paper Hat Girl. So in the end, I came home with a buzz and a 2005 vip card (which I vow not to use much) but no souveneir glass that Ginko Girl and Z got to bring home. :( Oh well, I can always get it another time... New Years was a blast!

I've been thinking about a lot of things with my personal life right now, and I'm realizing that I'm in need of a big change. When I mean big, I mean BIG. In fact, I've given some considerable thought into moving my plan of moving to the mainland way ahead of schedule... to possibly this summer. I don't know, it seems a bit far stretched at the moment, but it is a definite maybe. I guess I'll just have to find out...
